This is my first Audio-post!
(La La La La) — From Beginning of “Speedy Gonzales”
Ok, thats the beginning of a song that I’ve been listening to a lot recently – although there’s nothing “recent” about the song – it’s a 1962 track by Pat Boone. It’s called Speedy Gonzales and is conceptualized around a very famous Mexican Cartoon character – a mouse by the same name. And this song by Pat Boone (in fact) is inspired by and, in many ways, a tribute to Speedy Gonzalez.
It talks about everything Mexican – From Tortilla, to Enchiladas, Tequila, and Rosita. It’s a very lively song and as I was telling a friend the other day, this song can bring a dead man alive.
So I’m gonna leave you with the Youtube video of the song – in fact it’s a blank video with the music playing in the background – ‘coz I don’t think they had music videos when this song was released.. Enjoy the song!

I actually realized I was a little stiff in the podcast… was a tad nervous as to how it would turn out… But am happy you liked it… This can be a lot of fun actually..

My voice appears a lot heavier (deeper!) on the podcast than it actually is… Surprisingly enough, when i Listen to the SAME mp3 file on my PC, it sounds fine.. it sounds a little different here.. Amyway, maybe we can have more of this…

Nice. Nice. Great effort! All these electronic devices do mess up voices because I think they tend to rip away the high frequencies for the purpose of storage efficiency. I have always felt that with the audio I listen to on the phone as compared to in real life. Of course, I would not like to interpolate your frequency too much or I would land up thinking that you sang the mouse track.
One comment though: might be a good idea to post a transcript of your audio post as well since not too many of the search engines can index audio. Of course, only if you are interested.
I could never remember the name of the mexican mouse which could run fast! Thanks for helping me remember

Yeah.. but you the it depends on “what” device you’re using.. I loved the sound from my SE Walkman Series Phone.. No distortion… no loss.. Good qualiity… (not advertising for them!)

Thanks a lot..Your words are very encouraging.. I’ve actually been an active debater and enjoyed speaking in public.. I guess that shows..
I can do a LOT more with my voice.. (like crazy funky stuff.. Like I said.. I was a little conscious myself.. Since it was the first time I was doing something like this online..
And im glad you liked the song.. I usually recommend LOADS of songs to people.. More often that not, they end up liking it..

Glad you liked it.. Im gonna write a “How-to” on Podcasting pretty soon… Actually it’ll be more like a “How I did it” rather than a “How to”.. coz I need to figure out things myself first.. Maybe readers would comment and give me solutions to some of the problems I faced as well..

Actually.. like ive mentioned in the post, the audio file becomes slower and (and my voice soudns deeper!).. so the next time I do an audio post, I will have to speak faster (and on a higher pitch).. so that once the correction happens, “ladies” get to hear the REAL tone…

Considering you are hosted on WP’s real estate in a free service, I wonder what they would think of it if we all started leaving embedded videos in the ‘comments’ space… Just a thought.
