And here’s the Traffic by month – Of course, September is still ‘in progress’

I didn’t quite see this coming – but TalkingTails has clocked 1,00,000 hits – I had no idea it would ever get to this number, but I am glad it has!

Among other surprising ‘revelations’ was that my Google PageRank is 5 – which means:

In other words, a PageRank results from a “ballot” among all the other pages on the World Wide Web about how important a page is. A hyperlink to a page counts as a vote of support. The PageRank of a page is defined recursively and depends on the number and PageRank metric of all pages that link to it (“incoming links“). A page that is linked to by many pages with high PageRank receives a high rank itself.

Also, while we’re on numbers – Alexa has given TalkingTails a rank of  1,658,355.

I must admit – the majority of the ‘hits’ are due to one particular post that I had written about Maslow’s Need Heirarchy (Maslow, Greek Mysticism and Indian Philosophy), Gr – I guess someone StumbledUpon or ‘digg’ed it. That particular post seems really popular – it gets some 300 hits on an average day and most of the traffic is diverted from Google. If you type in ‘Maslow India’ on Google, this page is the FIRST page that is returned – try it!
